The 2008 Nissan Pathfinder has been launched in the market with the biggest update since its last full redesign that took place in the year 2005. Since its launch in the market, this mid-sized SUV has always been a favorite one in its class. With a capacity to accommodate seven passengers across three rows of seats, there are many changes made in the interior and the exterior segments of the current models. Seating
The seven models have been designed to accommodate comfortably seven adult passengers across three rows of seat. For all the trims, there are specific seating arrangements. The second-row 40/20/40-split fold-flat bench seat with tip-up easy entry for third row and the third-row 50/50-split fold-flat bench seat are common across all models and body styles. While the base S, SE and SE-Off Road models have cloth seat trimming, the top-of-the-class LE gets a new look with best quality leather-appointed seats.
Comfort and convenience features
For a comfortable ride, the upscale cabin has been highlighted with a number of standard comfort and convenience related features like in-cabin microfilter, power door locks, power windows with front one-touch auto-up/down, remote keyless entry, cruise control with steering-wheel-mounted controls, tilt steering column, rear intermittent wiper, trip computer and voltage and oil pressure gauges. Apart from these, the users can also avail benefit from some of the features available on various trims.
Space
In the upscale inside cabin,which can accomodate seven passengers it also has ample cargo space. The free space for putting cargoes is quite moderate when all three rows are up but as soon as the seats are folded down, the cargo space expands exponentially. Apart from under-floor storage facility, there are other storage options available inside the cabin like eight cup holders including two bottle holders, an overhead console with sunglass storage, Driver's seat back pocket and storage pockets on both front and rear doors.
Entertainment On The Road
For the occupants of the base S models, the manufacturer has provided with standard AM/FM/CD audio systems and six powerful speakers to keep them entertained while driving. Radio Data System (RDS), speed-sensitive volume, MP3/WMA CD capability, auxiliary audio input, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls and satellite radio pre-wiring features are available as standard equipments on the SE, SE-Off Road and LE trims. The LE trim has some other entertainment features also and of them the most important one is the option of voice activated navigation system.
The current Nissan Pathfinder line-up is still one of the more appealing vehicles in its class and regardless of the price range it is one of the better values.
